Introduction Chromobox protein homolog 3 (CBX3) has been reported to regulate a variety of cellular biological functions and play an oncogenic role in various tumor. Nevertheless, the CBX3 remains vague ovarian cancer. This research aimed assess potential regulatory mechanism Material methods The expression was determined by qRT-PCR western blotting cancer tissues cell lines. Cell proliferation, cycle apoptosis were detected using CCK-8 assay flow cytometry. Transwell wound healing used determine invasion migration. Furthermore, modulation on NCOR2 p53/p21-mediated glycolysis confirmed. Results significant elevated knockdown inhibited migration, while promoted G1/S phase blockade apoptosis. Mechanism analysis verified that downregulation increased blocked subsequent glucose metabolism. silencing p53/p21 inhibitor treatment reversed inhibitory effects function. Conclusions We revealed progression promoting metabolism via inhibiting NCOR2. These results provide theoretical basis for diagnosis
